A betting traditional unlike any other.
The 2019 Masters is set to begin Thursday morning for the 85th straight time at Augusta National in Georgia, but before 87 of the best professional golfers in the world tee off, it’s time to look at the betting odds and rundown everything you need to know ahead of the most historic tournament in golf.
After winning the Players Championship and finishing in the top 10 in his past seven tournaments, Rory McIlroy has been on fire as of late and comes in as the clear favorite to put on another green jacket this year at +750 ($100 bet wins $750).
This gives McIlroy an implied probability of 11.76% to win the 2019 Masters. Dustin Johnson (+1000) and Justin Rose (+1200) check in at the second and third spot behind McIlroy.
Tiger Woods (+1400) has had a bit of a resurgence of late and has been getting a significant amount of action, so much so that someone bet $85,000 on Tiger to win his fifth green jacket this year at a William Hill sportsbook in Las Vegas.
If Tiger does win his first Masters since 2005, then the wager will pay out $1,190,000 and become the largest payout ever for golf in William Hill’s history since setting up sportsbooks in the United States.
