For the teams ranked #1 through #7 in the AP Top 25 poll, their positions stayed the same after winning in Week 1. However, there were some shakeups after that.
First, here are the teams that kept their top positioning. For these seven teams, their 2019 College Football Championship odds are also provided:
- Clemson +225
- Alabama +260
- Georgia +700
- Oklahoma +1200
- Ohio State +1800
- LSU +2000
- Michigan +1400
Notre Dame (+4000) was able to jump up one spot to #8 after defeating Louisville. Texas (+3000) did the same by beating Louisiana Tech to nab the #9 spot in the polls.
However, the biggest jump of the week belongs to the Auburn Tigers (+6000).
After Auburn defeated the Oregon Ducks (+5000) 27-21 in Week 1 of the college football season, the Tigers jumped into #10 in the AP Top 25 poll. On the flip side, Oregon dropped five spots to a #16 ranking coming into Week 2 after the loss.
Of course, not every winning team was able to move up in the polls. The Florida Gators (+2500) fell three spots despite beating the Miami Hurricanes (+6000) in the Week 0 Camping World Kickoff. Now at #11 in the poll, the Gators were barely able to hold off an unranked Hurricanes team to start their season.
Even with the loss, Miami still earned ten votes in the AP poll but remains unranked. Speaking of unranked teams in Florida, the Florida State Seminoles (+20000) were upset by Boise State (+75000), leading to a #24 ranking for the Broncos after not appearing in the Week 1 poll.
For a full comparison of championship contenders and their odds, a list is below accompanied by any Top 25 rankings the teams may have. Notice that the rankings and odds do not always line up with each other.
